Chess Club

The NEAT Chess Club was a program run for girls and boys age 8-16 to receive instruction in technique and competitive chess strategies. The club met weekly and was run in partnership with North End businessman, Joe Brislin of Liberty Tax Services. People young and old  participated and tested their chess skills or learn the game from one of the younger players. This club was designed to develop concentration and social skills, positive inter-generational and peer-to-peer role modeling, and a love for the game of chess. The Chess Club is currently inactive, but may become active again in the future.  Please contact NEAT if you are interested.

NEAT is a non-profit (501©(3) organization and receives financial and in kind support from Liberty Bank Foundation, the American Savings Foundation, Middlesex County Community Foundation, the City of Middletown (CDBG), the Haymarket People's Fund, the Community Health Center, Wesleyan University, Citizens Bank, and private donations.
