What is NEAT?

The North End Action Team (NEAT) is a neighborhood organization that began in l997 to develop grassroots leadership in the North End. NEAT is made up of residents, business leaders, property owners, and stakeholder groups. NEAT’s mission is to provide neighborhood-based participation and leadership, to identify concerns, define strategies, and develop resources to improve the quality of life in the North End. By raising a collective neighborhood voice, the North End can bring about positive change.

What has NEAT done?

    When and where does NEAT hold meetings?

    NEAT's monthly neighborhood meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Green Street Arts Center. Everyone is welcome to participate. Childcare is provided by Wesleyan University student volunteers.

    NEAT has offices at 33 Ferry Street and the Ferry Street trailer adjacent to the Ferry Street Garden. Visit our office and discuss your concerns and interests informally with NEAT members and staff.

    NEAT is a non-profit (501©(3) organization and receives financial and in kind support from Liberty Bank Foundation, the American Savings Foundation, Middlesex County Community Foundation, the City of Middletown (CDBG), the Haymarket People’s Fund, the Community Health Center, Wesleyan University, and private donations.
